The Naos strategy, for the well-being of the child

There is a growing concern about the problem of obesity worldwide, since this disease is associated with the evils of our day such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease. For this reason, the member states of the WHO (World Health Organization) have developed the Naos strategy, a strategy aimed at combating this great evil that is obesity.

There are too many deaths in the world, most are caused by chronic diseases and statistics on this issue do not stop growing. The WHO certifies that these types of diseases develop largely due to lack of physical exercise and diet. There is an endless list of life-shortening diseases, we are sure that all parents care about their children and for this reason we must make a lot of effort to try to cut down these problems from the beginning and thus guarantee the welfare of our children in the future.

The goal of the Naos strategy is very clear, to promote and protect health in a healthy environment, a proper diet and good physical activity, but this strategy works if we follow the recommendations made by WHO. If we consult the data on Spain we will surely be perplexed, the figures are alarming, we will only mention what refers to children, the phenomenon of obesity in the child and youth population (from 2 to 24 years old) is already located at almost 14% next to the overweight that stands at 26%, if we expand more, we see that in children between 6 and 12 years the figures are nothing less than 16%.

What else can we say, how to convince all parents of the importance of diet, exercise, healthy environment, etc. In order to guarantee the future of children, these premises must be followed.

Through the link, you can download the Naos strategy to know a little more about it and all the evils that are tried to prevent.
