UNICEF campaign in Chile to raise awareness about sexual abuse of minors

We have known this ingenious UNICEF campaign in Chile to raise awareness about sexual abuse of minors thanks to our companions of Babies and More. The scene recreates a person disguised as sweet cotton candy that, when arriving at a park, is assaulted by children who want to get a piece of this candy.

As the announcement says, it is an action aimed primarily at parents and caregivers, who change their expression by reading the role that the actor gives them: 'It's that easy for a pedophile to attract a child. Let's be alert '. "Sweet Trik (sweet trick)", has been carried out by the consultant Ogilvy & Mather, and aims to alert parents, and indicate the need to monitor and educate children on these issues. It should be clarified that although the use of language confuses them, pedophilia and pedophilia are not the same, and we must refer to the second when we want to point out sexual abuse against children.

In any case the intention is clear: it is an aggression that can begin with a hoax full of good intentions: a sweet, the invitation to see some puppies, the supposed message of the mother of the child ..., and when the children are not so young, we should all know that gifts can arrive online, with the aim of getting an encounter with the minor (grooming), or its compromising images (which would later be shared).

In my opinion, the work of protecting minors against these types of crimes does not only correspond to the parents, but mostly to them, too must be part of the objective of any society.
