Join #CeroMuertesMamores for hemorrhage

Hemorrhage is the second cause of maternal death in the Americas, a sad reality that can be changed, giving women access to the health services they need, with quality, respecting their rights, strengthening staff, equipping them with simple technologies and addressing geographical and cultural barriers.

A few months ago we talked about the project of the Pan American and World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) "Zero maternal deaths from hemorrhage", a difficult but commendable goal that had all our support.

Specifically, it is an initiative of PAHO / WHO and its Latin American Center for Perinatology, Women's Health and Reproductive Health (CLAP / SMR) dedicated to preventing women from dying as a result of postpartum hemorrhage. This is a risk that has become even the leading cause of maternal death in certain areas of Bolivia, Guatemala, Haiti, Peru and the Dominican Republic.

Now, the campaign to prevent obstetric hemorrhage It has its own space on the web and, like any initiative worth its salt, a hashtag to promote it, #CeroMuertesMaternas, inviting us all to participate, to "spread the word" sharing this theme and the slogans and images created for this purpose.

Of course, we join the #CeroMuertesMaternal initiative for hemorrhage and here we leave you some of their slogans and posters, with clear messages about the importance of safeguarding the life and rights of women and their children in this region.
