They celebrate the arrival of their daughter Violet two years after losing their three children in a terrorist attack

On July 17, 2014 on Malaysia Airlines flight 17 It took off from the airport of Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and in its passage through Ukraine was shot down by terrorists. The 283 passengers and 15 crew members died, and among them the three sons of Anthony Maslin and Marite Norris, who were traveling with their grandfather.

This terrible tragedy, which they will never forget and for which they have been suffering for two years, will now be accompanied by what they call "a little light in the dark", which is nothing more than the arrival of Violet, her fourth daughter.

"Love is stronger than hate"

Violet was born this past Tuesday and the parents wanted to explain it because they believe that his arrival is the demonstration that "love is stronger than hate".

It has been two horrible years for both of us, full of suffering, tears and sleepless nights. Full of memories at all hours, of contained rage and of not finding a way to make up for it, not knowing how to fight or against what ... to find no explanation.

That event will accompany them all their lives, forever, but they have learned to live with it eliminating the possibility that they have finally disappeared: "We still live in pain, but Violet, and knowing that the four children are with us, always brings light to our darkness, "they said in a statement to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs.

Moreover, they consider that Violet It is the most precious gift that Mo, who on Saturday would have turned 14, Evie, that next week would turn 12, Otis, who would turn 10 next month and Grandpa Nick, have been able to send them.

In the same statement they also said that only with love could they move on, because with hate they could not lift their heads:

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; Only light can do it. Hate cannot drive out hate; Only love can do that. We will continue to love our four children equally. Violet brings us some hope and joy. Hopefully it brings hope and joy also to all of you.

And yes, it is. At least in my case. I wanted to share the story because sometimes precious things and horrible things happen in the world, and sometimes at the same time. And sometimes there are people in the world suffering as we would never imagine that he finds a way forward. This couple is an example and, as such, can serve as inspiration for many people.

We also welcome Violet, and hopefully help the whole family find the happiness they should never have stolen.
