Conciliation is not easy for tennis players either, Victoria Azarenka asks for consideration for those who are already mothers

Returning to work after having a child is usually a process of rehabilitation, in which we get used to all the changes and organize our routines to balance our professional life with being mothers.

And although usually when it comes to conciliation we refer mainly to mothers who work in an office or business environment, sports mothers do not have easy things either.

Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka recently returned to the tennis courts after having her son in December, and He encountered a problem during Wimbledon, spending all day away from his baby for waiting his turn to play.

After taking a break from tennis during her pregnancy and the birth of her son Leo, Victoria returned to the courts to continue her career as a professional tennis player. Accompanied by her partner, her mother and her six-month-old baby, she returned to compete in Wimbledon but the first day she got a surprise the first day she played.

His first match for the first round at Wimbledon had not yet been scheduled, so he had to wait a whole day to finally play at 7:13 in the afternoon and arrive with his baby after nine at night.

According to information from Telegraph, the tennis player stated that she had to be there all day, something that is very difficult for a recent mother and that she hopes will not happen again. The comments of the tennis player appear at the same time as some accusations towards the organizers of Wimbledon, because it is believed that they are giving preference to men when assigning the courts for the matches.

When doing an analysis of past tournaments it was found that the assignment favored men by placing their games on the main courts and with greater prominence during the last two years of Wimbledon. In fact, in 2011 the champion Serena Williams, who is now pregnant with her first child, complained that they asked her and her sister Venus Williams to compete on the field number 2, while the men played at number 1.

Although tennis is one of the sports where the cash prize is the same for men and women, we regularly see that there is more news about them than about them. The truth is that despite the fact that there are the same opportunities to compete, for most men, having children does not represent a complication when they return to play, unlike women, who now must adapt their schedules to the needs of their children.

Surely with the statements of Victoria Azarenka and the next return of Serena Williams to the courts after her baby is born, Wimbledon organizers must take into account certain details to make the tournament more friendly with those who are already mothers.
