The game of blocks could develop language more quickly in children

A study prepared by researchers from the University of Washington (USA) shows how beneficial it can be for the baby to play with blocks. The results of the study show that Children who play with blocks develop language faster than those who do not use them.

In the investigation, data were taken from 175 children aged between 12 and 30 months, after six months the researchers concluded that up to 15% of the children who played with the blocks had developed language faster. At least this was reflected in the questionnaires made by parents where they should indicate the progress in the language of their children. The answer seems to be subject to the stimulation that this game exerts on the abilities of child reasoning, in fact, these abilities are precursors to thought and language. Researchers indicate that these types of recreational activities are very beneficial, so they stimulate the baby.

The study has been promoted and subsidized by a famous American toy company, Mega Blocas, this could raise suspicions about the truthfulness of the conclusions. Anyway it is hard to believe that experts who are dedicated to science and more in a childish subject, can throw false conclusions, although nothing is surprising anymore.
