"There is no need to make expensive gifts for Christmas" (even if they can)

I don't say this phrase, but I adhere. It has been pronounced by actor Brad Pitt in an interview in which he talks about the Christmas customs of his family.

I will not hide my liking for the Pitt-Jolie marriage. When fatherhood seems to have lost so many values, it is appreciated that a couple of celebrities, beautiful and millionaires are parents of 6 children (among their own and adopted), defend breastfeeding, are committed to raising their children and what most Like being in family. It would be a disappointment that it was just a posture, but I don't think so. Those things are noticed.

Again they have set the good example by saying that at home expensive and big gifts are not bought for Christmas, but they make the gifts that they exchange with each other. Each one elaborates with his own hands what he wants to give to each family member.

When many of us would like to have their fortune to make gifts, they who can, choose homemade gifts. The advice given by the actor is to "keep the amount of money invested in gifts as little as possible, with the general rule that everyone has to do something for the rest, investing time in it."

Another pearl of the interview is that according to their father, children do not ask for expensive gifts simply because they do not watch them on TV and do not even know they exist. They don't let their children watch too many cartoons on commercial television to avoid tampering with the ads.
