E.T. The Extraterrestrial will arrive at Blu-ray in Spain on October 31, 2012 to celebrate the 30th anniversary

Steven Spielgerg was one of the great film directors of the 80s. At a meeting about creativity they explained that Steven's mother left him, when he was little, to create and build landscapes, environments and materials to realize his dreams, record them and approach his hobby. Probably that's why Spielberg in the 80s already achieved excellence by rolling incredible and eternal movies like E.T.

As 30 years of the movie premiere, then I think there was only VHS and not everyone could afford to have a player / recorder, they are going to release a version of the film in high definition domestic format or blu -ray. The company that will launch it is Universal and in Spain E.T. will be released on Blu-ray in a special collector's edition on October 31, 2012.

According to our fellow Blog Blogs, the edition promises to satisfy everyone who buys it because it will include a digitally remastered edition with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 and an audio track with the original Castilian dubbing. It seems that in other European countries it will be launched with additional products, for example, a replica of the ship or a stuffed animal of E.T.

Extra content includes an unpublished interview with the director, with the composer John Williams, how it was done, deleted scenes and many more surprises. It seems to me that in 2002 a ridiculous version was invented in which they eliminated the weapons of the policemen chasing the extraterrestrial protagonist and little Elliot, replacing them with intercoms. I don't know what version they will have worked to digitize and how the result will be. To me, that I saw the film of the year 1982 in the cinema and I read the book, it seems silly to suppress or make the police lose prominence, precisely Spielberg's goal was to present the film from the eyes of a child, to his height and responding to your imagination. And so, all the images show the faceless cops although easily identifiable with their keys, their wives and their weapons. That also reinforced the danger they posed to E.T. and his colleague Elliot.

I do not know what we will do because the Blu-Ray player is a device that does not exist at home although as prices go, you can make an investment in home entertainment and live the home theater of a classic as spectacular as E.T. To the little girl, who I think has seen a scene, surely the whole movie catches her attention. Because E.T. It's not like the fascinating movies that are made now for children, E.T. It is an older film in which the protagonists are children and for the little ones in the house he has incomprehensible or boring moments directly. From the age of 12 I think that kids can have fun, surprise and experience the excitement of having an extraterrestrial friend who loves you and wants to share great adventures with you.
