The ABCKit application for the little ones to learn the alphabet on the iPad

We were able to test the application ABCKit for iPad and we really liked its content and its ease of use especially for the little ones. It is an application with a very simple and practical design which allows you to associate images, draw strokes and listen to the sounds of the letters.

ABCKit is an application for the iPad, where it looks great, and also for the iPhone / iPod Touch. It is for children who are learning the letters of the alphabet and who are beginning to write. ABCKit, is available in three languages: Spanish, English and Catalan.

It is very interesting for kids from two years old. The phonetics of the letters helps them a lot to learn to reproduce the sounds, they can also identify the letters and it is very practical to trace the letters and teach them to write.

The application has three sections, which allow know, listen and write. With Know It is possible to identify the letters of the alphabet with an animal or object also showing the phonetics of the letter. With Hear a comparison of the phoneme with the name of the letter is made. Y to write It helps children to start writing letters by means of a guided stroke. If the child stays halfway, an arrow indicates where he has to go to finish the stroke.

ABCKit has been chosen by Apple as the third best iPad application of the year in the 2011 Review and has also been featured in the Apple store in Spain. The application costs 1.59 euros, weighs 26 MB and has been developed by Arquinauta Consulting.
