Education 3.0 launches the first guide to educational apps that work on the iPad

The Education 3.0 magazine is a means of reference in the use of ICT in classrooms and just presented the Education 3.0 apps guide. This is the first collection of educational applications that are available for the Apple iPad. It is a work of analysis of the magazine team that has selected and tested more than 70 apps with the aim of helping teachers and families get the most out of these useful tools with educational features.

He director of the magazine Education 3.0 Javier Palazón He explained that more than 400 apps have been downloaded to analyze their suitability and possible educational use. The analysis has taken into account that applications can be used by teachers or parents. The magazine Education 3.0 has allowed us to test the application and it is a complete and essential guide to be consulted by teachers or parents and to know which applications are the most interesting for the class and to be used by the family at home.

The Education 3.0 apps guide is interactive and multimedia and takes full advantage of the touch capability of the Apple tablet. The works are classified by the scope of the applications: Mathematics, Language, Languages, Geography and History, Plastic and Music or Science. There is also a special section dedicated to teachers called profes (?).

The teacher applications They show from keeping track of attendance to recording student grades, creating notes, editing videos or developing concept maps to how to convert the tablet itself into an entire interactive whiteboard.

I also liked to see the experience of the teachers with the use of the application and the amount of details they expose about it using specific videos of real cases. Thus, you can see Elena Brasero, English teacher of the IES Father Juan de Mariana in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo); Sergio García Cabezas, professor at the CSEU La Salle in Madrid; o Manel Rives, teacher of CEIP Sigüeiro (Oroso, A Coruña). All of them and many more explain their experience in the classroom with the applications and the results obtained.

In addition, each application is documented with images and case studies of teachers who already use them in the classroom. It also includes an analysis of its main features and functionalities, examples of its use, educational applications and of course the price, the educational cycle to which it applies (children, primary, secondary, high school and university) and the link to iTunes to download the application.

To finish the Guide Education 3.0 apps includes a wide selection of accessories to get the most out of the tablets during use, especially in the classroom.

The Education 3.0 apps guide is now available in the App Store at a price of 1.79 euros.

We recommend reviewing the guide to know the existing applications, the current situation of these important educational resources and although in Peques and Más we have compiled, analyzed and tested many of them the fundamental characteristic of the publication of Education 3.0 is that they place the focus on the teacher and on the use Practical and real that makes the application. I hope this compilation is a first step of more publications in which we can find many more practical cases and interesting experiences. I also encourage Education 3.0 to be encouraged to include experiences and case studies of parents because surely many of them make fantastic uses of the applications with their children.
